THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH.

Romans 6:23, King James Version
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Many people believe that they can make it into heaven because they are good people. Some religions have taught people that if their good outweighs their sins or wrongdoings, they will make it into heaven and live in paradise, which couldn't be further from the truth. In the scripture above, God made it clear that the wages of sin is death. We have to take a good look at the scripture above. In it, God says that the wages of sin is death. He didn't say that the wages of sins is death.

It only takes one sin for one to be condemned for eternity. It doesn't matter how much good you've done in your life. Just one sin is all that it takes for one to be in the grasp of eternal damnation. So, if you've lied just once in your life, then its over for you. You're doomed to hell. There is no outdoing it. For those Jews who thought or still think that they can make heaven by keeping the laws, the Bible clearly tells them that: 10 For whoever keeps the whole Law but stumbles at one point, he has become guilty of [breaking] all of it-- James 2 AMPLIFIED BIBLE VERSION.

Hence, there is no making up for sin or outdoing our sins. A price has to be paid for our sins, and that price is death, which means that we must die. Every man born of a woman has once or many times in his/her life sinned. And due to that, we all must die. Both Christians saved and redeemed by Jesus's sacrifices must die, as well as those unredeemed people who reject Christ. This death is not the death of ceasing to exist, which happens when people get old and die, but this death is a death penalty used in paying for the sin we committed on earth.

For believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we died with Christ, but for unbelievers, they'll die alone, and since they die alone, they can't be resurrected to eternal life.

4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be [a]done away with, and that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been [b]freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. --Romans 6 NKJV.

11 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; 2 Timothy 2 NIV

Sickness, death and sufferings are a pointer to the misery that lies in wait for those who choose to travel that path prepared by our ancestors (Adam and Eve).

Sin is a fruit of the fall. Which means that to sin is to walk in a state of the fall as though it were Adam and Eve all over again. Sin, though a product of the original fall, is an affirmation or a declaration of which side we belong.

God does not hate people because they sin. However, to sin is to tell God that the other way is better than His ways. That's what led man to eternal damnation to begin with. Because when we tell God that the other way is better than His way, we choose the path that's different from the path to life that He has given to us. We say that good is bad and bad is good, thereby inviting the just wages for our desires because we all get to live the after effects of our choices and actions.

Here is the summary of the mystery of the death of Jesus.

We all died in Him, but He died as the individual you and me.

The mystery of the blood of the sacrifice of Jesus and his body: Just as Adam and Eve are of the fruit that brought death, so by eating the body of Jesus, we earthly partake of the fruit of life, as we eat of the body in a worthy manner (living Godly lives). For Jesus says, I'm the way, the truth, and life.

As Adam and Eve ate the fruit that brought death to man, so Jesus canceled the effect of that fruit by giving you and I His body and blood(the fruit that brings life).

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6 NIV

Hell is a place, and not the final destination for those who rejected Jesus Christ and end up there. The final destination is the lake of fire. It’s a place like a lake, the difference is that this is a lake that burns with fire and brimstone.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20 KJV.

All those in hell now will one day be cast into the lake of fire where there will be more sorrow and agony that there is in the hell they currently dwell. Hence, we must diligently choose where we want to spend eternity for this life we currently live is nothing but a vapour.

13 Come now [and pay attention to this], you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and carry on our business and make a profit.” 14 [a]Yet you do not know [the least thing] [b]about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air]. James 4 AMPLIFIED VERSION.

You must choose because tomorrow is not guaranteed and if you have chosen Jesus Christ, you must be steadfast to His words and live by His words.

Stay tuned for the continuation. The grace of Jesus Christ be unto you.
