Why Jesus Series

In part one of this series, we see how God created everything in families or kindreds. We also see how God made it a principle that something has to die for another to live—the principle that life exists at the expense of another.

Now, we are going to take each of those and properly expound on them in the light of the scriptures.

1. Why Jesus—in the light of Kindred and Families.

It is evident to us that no one can give what they don't have. Just as the Bible states,

40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars, for one star differeth from another star in glory. 1 Corinthians 15:40-41.

What is the difference between the life of an animal and that of a human as described by God in Genesis 1?

Let's see these two verses:

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
In the image of God, he created them.
male and female, he created them.

First, God says let us; this word "us" here gives us the idea of the identity of God. God is one person with three distinct beings or in three distinct natures that are able to function independently. This is the reason the Bible tells us that God is one and yet says "us.".

Many might think that this is an error, but in fact, it's perfect. For some of you reading this article who are Christians, you will have understood that God is one and three distinct beings at the same time—in the nature of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is a trinity, and He made man in His image—a being with a trinitarian nature like God. Animals aren't so, so they aren't equal to us. Animals have souls and bodies. They don't have spirits; if they had spirits, they would be able to accept Jesus and be saved like humans. Have you ever seen an old cow praying for salvation? It can't because it's not a spirit being. They have breath in them—the breath of life from God—but they don't have the spirit from God existing in them.

God gave us this picture of Him being a trinity in the nature of man.

Romans 1:20-32 New Living Translation

20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Here, God tells us that His invisible divine nature is made known in what he has made. That phrase divine nature which is also translated as Godhead in other translations such as the King James Version, is made visible in man. Man is a trinity just as God is a trinity. The only difference between man's trinity and God's trinity is that in God's trinity, every distinct being can exist independently because God operates on a higher realm and level than we do. Let's assume for an instant that man lives in three dimensions, and God lives in a million dimensions. However, this picture of dimensions is just to help us picture the difference between the human trinity and God’s trinity to avoid any misunderstanding.

We are all spiritual beings; we have souls, and we live in bodies, which are our earthly suits. Our souls are our will, minds, emotions, and intellects. The soul of man can often be visible through facial expressions and bodily actions. That is the most basic way others can have a feeling or an insight into our souls while our spirits remain unseen.

The basic difference between angels, demons, and humans is the possession of earthy suits (earthly bodies). The reason people can't see demons with the natural eyes is because demons are disembodied beings, and angels have to take on earthly suits to walk amongst men for them to be visible to the natural human eyes. For one to freely move and live in the earth, one has to have an earthly suit (physical body). And for one to freely move in the spiritual realm, one has to get rid of the earthly suit. This is the primary reason demons have to inhabit humans. We say someone is demon-possessed, and that's because demons can only have their greatest expression in the earth when they inhabit a human due to their need for an earthly body. Because they don't have earthy bodies, they take over man's.

Now, as you read the book of Genesis, you'll see that God created man perfect in the beginning, but man fell by committing treason. God gave the earth to man to rule over, but man submitted himself to the rule of the devil, thereby taking the nature of Satan, thus bringing in all the sicknesses and calamities that are associated with Satan into the world.

When Adam subjected himself to Satan and fell, all that was under Adam began to operate in the nature of Satan because nature became subjected to the nature of Satan rather than the original intended nature of God. The disasters, deaths, and sicknesses are the nature of Satan.

So, going back to Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 2:7, we see the attributes of God in man, which makes man irredeemable by any other means other than God Himself.

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
In the image of God, he created them.
male and female, he created them.

Genesis 2:6-8 NIV

6 but streams [a] came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. 7 Then the Lord God formed a man [b] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

If we are to use a chemical combination/equation analysis to distinguish between the nature of man and the nature of animals, it will appear like this:

Trinity(Godhead)+Likeness+rule(dominion)+dust+breath+water=man.

Genesis 1:24 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, land crawlers, and beasts of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so.

word(command)+earth(dust)+breath+water=animals.

In Genesis 1 & 2 we see that the earth had water in it and God gave breath to animals for them to live.

Genesis 1:29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Comparing both equations, you will see that man has the life of God, and animals do not, and man has been given dominion over the beast of the earth, and the beasts have been given the order to submit to man. Hence, for man to be restored to his original place after the fall in the garden, man must be saved by that which is higher in nature or equal to man.

Hence, the scripture in Hebrews comes alive.

Hebrews 10:4-10 New Living Translation

4 For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5 That is why, when Christ [a] came into the world, he said to God,

“You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings.
But you have given me a body to offer.

Animals have no dominion over man; hence, the sacrifices in the Old Testament were only a shadow of what was to come, which is Jesus Christ.
