Why Jesus Had To Die For The Sins of Men

God made the man Adam head of everything He created on earth. You see, as long as Adam kept his place in God's order and obeyed the only command God gave to him, which was to not eat of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, everything that was created obeyed Adam and God's order of things. The wild beasts didn't devour each other, neither did they devour man. The earth had her increase, and there were no disasters in the earth. Sicknesses were no where in the earth, and children didn't die of terrible diseases and accidents.
But as soon as Adam gave up his estate and made Satan the one he obeyed and trusted, everything went out of order. Then, deaths , wars, evils, disasters like hurricanes, tsunamis and destructions came in.
You see, your system can only function based on who's system you're subscribed to. When Adam and Eve decided to listen to Satan and believe that God was against their good and that God wanted to keep them bound and without wisdom, they called God a liar and unfaithful. In that moment, they decided to go with Satan's wisdom and words instead of God's wisdom and words. Now, we all can tell how that has played out because every system has its own way of life. God's system is full of goodness and life abundant, but Satan's system is full of misery and death.
10 The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. John 10: NIV
Until man's lease is up, Satan's nature will always be predominant in the earth—the nature of killing, stealing, and destruction.
People often ask—I mean unbelievers in particular—if God is loving, why are there wars, death, and diseases in the earth? Simply put, Satan has become the god of this world, so the system of this world will work and act in the nature of Satan until Adam's lease runs out.
5 And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, 6 and said to him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. 7 If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.” Luke 4 ESV.
Jesus didn't argue with Satan when Satan told Him that all the kingdoms of this world have been handed unto him because Jesus knew that the legal owner of the earth had handed it over to the devil, and that would have to continue till the day man's lease runs out.
In another place, God calls Satan the god of this world.
4 In their case, the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4 ESV.
Hence, for man to be saved and restored to His original place, one equal to all the humans who have ever lived and ever will live and greater than all the sins that have been committed under the sun or the sins that will be committed under the sun had to be the one that would pay the price.
This is one of the reasons no one, regardless of how holy they were, could die for all mankind. If one was very holy, he could only die for one because one life is only equal to one life.
We needed someone who was equal and greater than you and me and all our ancestors and future generations combined to be the one who would be used as the price for our propitiation.
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2 ESV
And it is quite evident that there was no one else, and there still isn't, who was equal to us all humans, who’s life's value is greater than us all's, and who had the power to pay the price other than God Himself because the world does not revolve around God. Instead, the entire creation exists inside Him; hence, He is greater than all.
28 for in him we live and move and exist,[a] as even some of your own[b] poets have said: ‘For we also are his[c] offspring. Acts 17:28 Lexham English Bible.
Here we see that Jesus isn't just for the saved only, but for all who have lived from Adam till now and those who will live till the end of this earth.
He is the only one who could pay the price for everyone individually and yet collectively—one time at the whipping post and one time on the cross. His death, burial, and resurrection are the only propitiation for all our evil deeds. And anyone who will accept Him and His sacrifices on the cross as theirs will be forgiven of all his/her sins and made whole and right with God.
Anyone who refuses this price has to pay the cost by himself/herself. A price must be paid, and the choice is always ours to make. It's either going to be Him (Jesus) who pays the price or us who pay the price. One thing is sure, and that is that if Jesus pays your price, then you can be freed, but if you pay the price, it'll be a just punishment for your sins, of which there is no redemption. All those in hell are paying the price because they didn't accept the price that Jesus paid as theirs’. God has said in His word that every sin must be punished. It's up to you and me to choose who takes the punishment for us.
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Ezekiel 18 KJV.
Hebrews 9: 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
2. LIFE EXISTS AT THE EXPENSE OF ANOTHER-EXPANDED
This principle lives on into eternity. Even when Jesus returns, those who will be with him will only exist due to His death on the cross.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. John 6 KJV
In John chapter 6, Jesus told the people that their fathers ate the manner that was given to them in the wilderness and are dead because the manner they ate was just for their body and not for their spirits. Man is a spirit, having souls and living in an earthly suit (the human body). The spirit of man is different from the Holy Spirit of God. Every human on earth, saved and unsaved, is a spirit being. But when a man accepts Jesus into his/her life, the Holy Spirit comes and indwells the person's spirit, thus making that person one in spirit with the Holy Spirit.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 1 Corinthians 6 KJV
Due to Adam's sin, man died spiritually. For man to be made alive, he had to be quickened by the Spirit that made his spirit.
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63 King James Version
John 14:6 New International Version 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Since life exists at the expense of another, and spirits can only be revived by a spirit and feed on life, the author of life and life Himself had to die for His Holy Spirit to be able to quicken us.
