Chapter 1

The God Conscious Realm And The Earth Conscious Realm And How To Get The God Kind Of Faith.

For over several months, I would ask God the same question: "Why aren't we seeing the miracles that happened in the old testament in this age?".

One day as I was riding home from work, I heard the word “relegation”. I began to think about the word, as I hadn't heard anyone use that word in more than 10 years, and I had even forgotten the meaning.

The miracles of the Old Testament haven't stopped! The problem is that we are too used to, or sometimes prefer living in the relegated realm.

The Cambridge dictionary defines relegation as the act of moving a football team to a lower division.

It's often self contradictory when Christians say they don't have faith. For a Christian to say he/she doesn't have faith is to say that they don't believe that they're saved because it's the same faith that works salvation in us that is at work when we believe the promises of God. Hence, it's imperative that no believer say, “I have no faith”, for that would be an utter lie!

Faith is involved in every man's life, and by it, we do everything. As long as we live, be we Christians or atheists, we all live our day-to-day lives by some form of faith. There's always something we trust to be faithful and consistent without doubting.

It is by faith we doubt, “choosing to believe in the probability or the likelihood of something not happening.” To doubt is to have enough faith and trust in the "probability" that a particular thing might not happen. It is by faith we step out of our beds in the morning, believing that our legs and feet will support us and help us stand without thinking or doubting. This kind of faith has moved from believing to knowing in our instinct, and it's where God wants us to step into in our journey with Him.

It is by faith we turn on the faucet, believing water will pass through the pipes for us to wash or do whatever we want to do without fear or worry. And when the faucet doesn't gush water, we try to find out why it isn't because we know it ought to. It is by faith we eat, not knowing how the entire cycle of our metabolic system works and how the food is digested, yet we believe that by eating, we are strengthened and nourished.

It is by faith we turn on the heater in the morning, expecting the heater to heat the water for us to shower, etc. It is by faith we get in a cab, trusting that the wheels will spin enough to get us to our destination. These kinds of faith we developed by practice and by seeing it work in others' lives.

Atheists depend on some sort of confidence in evolution to disbelieve the existence of God, even though evolution is so flawed in the sense that we know and understand that chaos could not have formed perfect order. Neither could it have placed the Earth in its orbit with other planets properly positioned within their orbits and axes so that they don’t collide with each other. Though they see the inconsistencies in their beliefs, they choose to believe that billions of years of evolution have formed all we see, rather than looking at God’s handiwork in nature and how there hasn’t been an evolution of humans into other better beings or matter.

In not believing that God created the universe, they believe in "no God," which takes a belief, an act of faith in itself. For we know that the chairs we sit on and the cars we drive didn't make themselves. Neither has any explosion put things together since the existence of mankind. The cars we drive all have makers, and the buildings we live in all have makers. Yet, the truth is lacking in those who believe in evolution.

It's based on faith that we inhale oxygen and breathe in without doubt that it’s the oxygen we will breathe and not other toxic gases. And this sort of faith has become instinct because of long practices. It’s by faith we move and speak, believing that the sounds we make are coherent for one to understand. Faith works the same way in the God realm and the Earth realm. It’s by faith we dial a number on our mobile, believing that the person we dial at the other end of the earth will receive the call and hear us.

The God faith is what the Bible teaches, but the Earth faith is where we have our daily interactions, and it's got limitations.

To have God's faith—the Bible faith, which is the faith that overcomes the world—only one thing is required: a switch from the earthly faith to the God faith. There are two realms in this single earth realm: the God realm and the man realm.

You see, the entire human race lives in relegation. We live in relegation not because God chose that but because we did and constantly do. All we see on earth, the way life works, even the good things we have, such as doctors and hospitals, is God trying to help us live in this realm of relegation with as much ease and comfort as possible, even though it's not His perfect plan. Because He is love and good, He tries His best to make us as comfortable as possible in our self-chosen misery.

It's God's will that His divine power heals us. However, since we would not depend on His ability or rather, tap into His realm, He gave us wise men as doctors and inventions in the form of hospitals, diverse medical equipment, and medicines to get us well. And sometimes, just to help us get by due to their inability to thoroughly heal and make one whole.

Faith is not an attempt to believe in God or trying to muster some courage. Faith is simply seeing into God's realm. Seeing God's reality, the reality of His power, and His domain that trumps our realm, and choosing to have those promises He has given to us through His unchanging word and nature rather than accepting what's in our daily realm (the state of relegation zone or misery).

Thy kingdom comes. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. -Matthew 6:10

So, how can we walk in faith? It's only by asking God to grant us the Spirit of Wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him and constantly meditating on His word because the entrance of His words gives light.

Sometimes, part of the problem in the lives of many Christians is that many believers do not know the will of God for their lives. This is a travesty because biblical faith begins where the will of God is known, and biblical faith derives its power and strength from the scriptures.

Ephesians 1:16-21 "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,"

Faith is based on revelation knowledge and not on thought power. Our lack of faith (the God faith) stems from our lack of constant interaction with the deep knowledge of God and His realm. We can only live here on earth by walking in the earth’s faith because we constantly interact with the reality of the earth’s faith and how it functions. That interaction creates conviction, and that conviction shapes and refashions our state of mind.

If you asked a primitive man from an unreached island, who had never seen a car nor even heard of the concept of getting into a vehicle, to get into a car so you'd take him to his farm, he wouldn't believe the car would be able to take him to his destination. Why is it so? It's because he's never had an interaction with the concept. You get up in the morning and jump into a car because you've interacted with the concept, and its reality has created a conviction in your heart. This is the same with the God realm. Lack of interaction with His realm is the cause of little to no God-kind of faith in the lives of lots of believers.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. -Psalms 119:130

God in His word tells us how to get the faith that brings healing and health to our lives and flesh in the book of Proverbs.

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. -Proverbs 4:20

Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. -Proverbs 4:21

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. -Proverbs 4:22

The God kind of faith is not a product of a powerful mindset; instead, it's a product of spiritual insight—a by-product of the reality that proceeds from revelation and a series of follow-up interactions with the God realm.

There are things we ought to know as Christians. One of which is that seeing miracles do not produce long-lasting faith. They might create a momentary faith or an atmosphere for faith to rise, but they don't give longevity to faith because after each miracle lies something more complex, a new kind of trouble or an unknown. One can only overcome these unknowns through the knowledge of His will. That was why the children of Israel doubted and murmured shortly after every miracle they saw God perform in the wilderness.

They saw the power of God, but they didn't know His ways. Moses asks God to show him His ways.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. -Psalms 103:7

It was the same reason the disciples of Jesus were oblivious to Christ’s assignment and His promised resurrection. They had doubts until he opened their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures.

Luke 24:44-45 "And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures." KJVE

I had wondered why the promises of Jesus in the book of John 14:12 seemed like failed promises, for I do not see many Christians casting out devils or healing the sick.

John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

Then, it dawned on me that the word “believeth in,””as it was used in that verse, means full-rounded confidence and a defiant reliance on the Son of God for all things. A place without a doubt in His power and His eagerness to replicate what He did in His earthly ministry through us, by the power of His Holy Spirit that dwells in us.

We don't see the works He did taking place in our lives as believers because most believe in the redemption of our souls through His sacrifice but not in the power of His might working through us. Our faith is often elective and not comprehensive because we believe in some parts of the work of salvation whilst leaning on doubt in other parts.

Here is a promise for those who are comprehensive in their reliance on Him with a defiant trust.

Daniel 11: 32b "But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." KJVAE

The level of our dependence on Him and insight into the scriptures will always be directly proportional to the abiding manifestation of His power through us. I am not saying that the anointing equals spiritual maturity, because it doesn’t. What I am saying is that the degree to which we are wholly dependent and reliant on Him is the degree to which He can conveniently move in us and act through us without difficulty and obstructions.

Some wells have more water than others, and some things tend to happen once in a while, while others happen both in season and out of season. What am I trying to say? What I'm trying to say is this: though the power of God can flow through our lives, it'll only be consistent in those who are fully transformed by the knowledge of His will. There is a difference between ministerial gifts and walking with God. This book is not addressing the gifts of the Spirit; instead, it’s focused on how every believer can obtain a mountain-moving faith by being fully submerged in God.

Colossians 1:9-12 For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and understanding and discernment of spiritual things–

Colossians 1:10 That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition].

Colossians 1:11 [We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy,

Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God's holy people) in the Light. AMP Version

Insight is what changes a man’s understanding.

Now, I would like for you to understand Romans 10:17.

Lots of people often misunderstand this scripture. Yes, we get faith by hearing the word, but the word “hear” in that verse does not mean just to hear like you’d hear something. The word “hear” in that verse means to take in or to assimilate. It’s a single word used to encapsulate receiving the word of God. Faith can come by reading the scriptures, and we all know that to read is not to hear with one’s ears. Faith can come by just watching and observing God’s handiwork in our lives and the lives of others. Hence, “faith comes by hearing” is defined by

Psalm 119:130. The entrance and unfolding of Your words give light; their unfolding gives understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the simple. AMP

Not everyone who hears the word of God receives life. Only those whose hearts receive the light receive life. Let’s see…

John 1:4-9.

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. BRG Version

It is the light that gives life to our walk with God and life to our entire being. That light is what illuminates the scriptures in our hearts and increases our faith. If the light does not enter our hearts, we can’t increase in faith. Yes, Jesus lives in us as believers; He is light, but the revelation of His nature is what increases our faith.

One can hear the gospel and read the scriptures without increasing in faith!

Mark 4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. BRG

But when our hearts are flooded with the light of Jesus and the revelation of the scriptures, we are changed and strengthened with greater faith!

When we are filled with faith, we will speak like the three Hebrew men.

Then they said to the king who had commanded them to bow to the statue at the next blow of the trumpet or face the fiery furnace.

Daniel 3: 17-18, 23-25"

17 If it is so, our God whom we serve can deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."

23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose in haste, and spake, and said unto his counselors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. AKJV

So, what now?

We have to go back to the command God gave to Joshua. "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8 KJVAE

Meditating on God's word is the key to entering and abiding in God’s realm. Meditation does not mean "be quiet and sit." . It means to ponder and mull over. God said to Joshua, meditate on it day and night. He couldn't meditate on the word day and night if he had to sit quietly every time. Yes, there is a time for quietness, but that is not what Joshua 1:8 commands. We can meditate on the word as we walk, eat, or even talk with people.

Finally, meditation produces revelation (spiritual knowledge of God's personality and reality), whilst revelation begets transformation in us, and transformation begets in us His enduring power.
